I realize I haven't posted much on this new baby. And forget belly pics, I haven't gotten around to any of those yet. Oh the poor third child, already being neglected!
I had my 16 week prenatal visit yesterday. Everything is going well. If there is any truth to the old wives tale, at all 3 of my prenatal appts the baby's heart rate has been in the 160's. Both Claire and Grace's heart rates were always high too. I'm thinking girl, but I'm not sure if that's intuition or just that after 2 girls my head is permanently stuck on pink and it's hard to even imagine anything else. My ultrasound is in 3 weeks, so if baby is cooperative we will find out then!
I've been feeling much better in the last couple weeks and I'm so grateful for that. It was a rough first trimester. I've also been feeling the little one wiggling around, which is so awesome. My stomach has definitely grown. I was still in regular clothes at this point with the previous two pregnancies, but I guess by the third pregnancy my body is just giving up. I'm in maternity clothes, although everything is still too big. I really need to just buy some regular clothes in the next size up.
Claire is very excited and asks about the baby constantly. She wants another sister. Grace talks about everything she's going to give the new baby, whom according to her is going to be a boy, named Diego. She's all about giving the baby all of her old things (so that she can get new!) The girls will be sharing a bedroom in the near future. I originally thought that Grace could stay in her room for awhile, since the baby will be sleeping in our room for the first couple of months. But with all her stuff still in the room, where would I put all the baby clothes, diapers, rocking chair, etc. So she'll be moving out sooner rather than later. It's just a matter of reorganizing Claire's room to make room for Grace. Claire's excited about bunk beds, but not so excited about sharing her room. And if anyone else tells me, "Since the nursery is already gender neutral, you won't even have to change a thing" they obviously don't know me very well. One more chance to decorate a baby's room...I'm not turning that down! I already have some ideas floating around in my head for both boy and girl rooms.
